ESA BIC Barcelona Demo Day 2025: Talent, Innovation & the Future of Space

This past Wednesday 16/07, our CTO Bernat Gené and CEO Roger Huerta, in representation of Spascat, participated as incubates in the Demo Day at ESA BIC Barcelona (PARC MEDITERRANI DE LA TECNOLOGIA SL), along the other incubated start-ups. This event brought us the opportunity to pitch Spascat’s vision and projects to an outstanding jury and a growing ecosystem committed to the New Space economy.

To mark the end of the course, each start-up shared their motivation and showcased their projects with a remarkable level of professionalism. The incubates that participated were: Geoskop, SLIMOP Space, ATMake, EMC Barcelona, TracksCO2, YPlasma, Xiroi, Systellar Space, and ourselves, SPASCAT Technologies.

As part of the event, we also had the pleasure to be recognized for our outstanding contribution in the event as the (sic) Most Original Object – for their carefully thought, unique and creative object proposal.

Special thanks to Maria José Montilla from the Agencia Espacial Española (AEE) for the encouraging closing speech, highlighting the strengths of our entrepreneurs’ pitches; and to Fundació KIMbcn, for their continuous support in business mentoring throughout the ESA BIC Barcelona incubation process; and Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona, for their essential role together with KIM Barcelona in co-organizing the event and contributing to its success.
