Spascat Wins the 2023 Young Entrepreneurship Award
Spascat has been awarded the 2023 Young Entrepreneurship Award, receiving a prize of €4,000. The announcement was made during the reception event for newly established businesses held at the Casa del Marquès Business Center.

Represented by its founders Roger Huerta and Bernat Gené, the award recognizes that “Spascat Technologies project is rooted in aerospace engineering and is dedicated to developing and commercializing innovative technologies for processing Earth observation data. Their solutions support various industries through advanced data applications related to coastal, oceanic, and atmospheric monitoring”.
This year’s award cycle saw a total of eleven project submissions. A special mention was also granted to Accessibles, a project led by local entrepreneur Laura Martin, which promotes universal accessibility through communication mediation, training programs, resource adaptation, and awareness activities.
The awards were presented by Mayor Jaume Oliveras and Economic Promotion Councillor Maria Llarás, who congratulated the winners and encouraged continued participation in future editions. Both emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in local development. The Mayor highlighted the role of Casa del Marquès as a hub for innovation, now approaching its tenth anniversary, while Councillor Llarás reiterated the City Council’s commitment to supporting economic growth through a wide range of business services.
Prior to the award announcement, three companies established in 2022 and recipients of local economic development grants—Magnolia Homecare, Espai Sin Sin, and GR Assessors i Administradors—presented their business projects and expressed gratitude for the support provided by the City Council and the Casa del Marquès team.”
