Spascat has participated once again in the “Joves i Ciència” program of the Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation within the project ‘NewSpace: Small Satellites to Change the World’, that has taken place between June 24 to July 6. This program aims to foster scientific and technological vocations among talented young people with an interest in research.

As part of the Talent and Society axis of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia, the Government of Catalonia and the IEEC are organizing this Joves i Ciència project to bring space closer to young people. Spascat has been one of the invited entities. This year, we have focused on how Spascat’s vision fits within the Earth Observation and map drawing evolution throughout history, starting at the Catalan Atlas (circa 1375) and finishing with the Copernicus Program by ESA and EUSPA.
